Why People love Rags Revival
“I love clothes swap parties and have been doing them with friends for years. Having recently moved to Brighton from London, I was delighted to find out about Rags Revival and even more delighted when I attended it for the first time. The fact that there is already lots of stock when you get there is a huge bonus, as you don’t have to wait for people to arrive to start swapping. The atmosphere is really friendly and the clothes are always beautiful. I’ve found many treasures every time I went, including a lovely (brand new!) sequinned dress and a buttery soft leather jacket. Holding the swap in a pub is also a genius idea: new clothes and a pint, what’s not to love?"

"I just love coming to Rags Revival i get really excited its not just the chance of getting to try different styles for free its watching people take away clothes you've swapped and knowing you've really made there day as they have mine, we all make fashion mistakes and theres nothing worse than having to look at them clogging up your wardrobe so what could be better than to swap them for something that could end up as your favourite. ..........PS i got a River Island dress at your first swishing it has pictures of London on it i have worn it everywhere the Races, swishing shopping and just days out its my favourite i donated a green ballroom dress in exchange so i hope someone enjoyed that."

"I usually shop at charity shops, not being able to afford the high street labels and therefore rarely come away with anything, as all the good stuff has obviously been snapped up. However it was quickly apparent that I wasn’t going to have a problem finding things I not only liked, but really loved."

"I heard about Laura’s Rags Revival page and the rest is history – I have been attending ever since and appreciate the more laid back way it is run as it is more relaxed and there isn’t that competitiveness or anxiety about missing out on something good. One of the lovely things about it too is the friendliness across the ages – and it is so chilled that I for one feel perfectly comfortable trying things on in front of others and even swapping whilst changing e.g. if something doesn’t fit me and someone else wants to try that item we swap and everyone feels free to make comment i.e. if someone is doubtful about how they look in a particular item there is the freedom to say “oh that’s lovely on you, really suits you” or “no, that’s not really you/not your colour” or whatever.
